Tenchijin Signs MOU with India’s Swach Environment to Conduct PoC Projects in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal
First Partnership in India, Collaborating Toward Future Market Growth
TOKYO, Japan – September 16, 2025 – Tenchijin Inc., a space-tech innovator transforming sustainable water infrastructure management, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Swach Environment Private Limited (“Swach”), a leading water infrastructure company in India, on July 1, 2025. Under this MOU, Tenchijin and Swach intend to pursue Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects in three locations — Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal — aimed at testing the applicability of Tenchijin’s “KnoWaterleak”, a water leakage assessment and management system, in the Indian market. The PoC initiatives are currently under consideration and will be carried out subject to government approval and support.
This agreement represents Tenchijin’s first partnership in India and establishes a foundation for future business expansion in the country.

● West Bengal: Operates “Haldia Water Supply Project”, one of India’s largest industrial and municipal water supply projects with a supply of over 42 MGD (approx. 200 million liters) and a city operator for Haldia. The operating entity received the Best PPP Operator in the Water & Wastewater Sector at the World Water Awards 2024–2025.
India, the most populous country in the world, faces serious water infrastructure challenges, including aging pipelines, high non-revenue water (NRW) rates, and intermittent water supply. KnoWaterleak’s water leakage risk assessment function is expected to play a significant role in addressing these challenges.
